Should I split my long novel?
Whether it's to please an algorithm or an editor, the answer is likely no.
Writing is fractal. That means that Story is created by repeating a simple process over and over in an ongoing feedback loop. Beginning, middle, and end. Rising and falling action. A scene has a beginning, middle, and end, as well as rising and falling action. Scenes make up acts. Acts make up a novel.
