Damsel: Well-plotted hot garbage is still hot garbage

The latest entry in the genre of woketastic woketasy appropriates the Hero's Journey.

I did not sit down to watch Damsel with intent. I figured it was going to be awful because anything that brags about a self-rescuing princess is going to be just like its godawful feminist predecessors. But, I was tired and I figured I’d take a look.

And here we are. Well-plotted but still hot-garbage, so better than expected.
